MTSU drops game 1 against Auburn.
Meet Alston, a 15-year-old, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes nine days before his 14th birthday. He enjoys his active lifestyle, swimming, coaching Upward Basketball, and playing baseball for his high school or the community. He is thankful for Children’s Hospital because of the work it does to help him manage his diabetes and continue his active lifestyle. Alston dropped the puck to start the second game against the Volunteers. Before the game, MTSU players enjoyed spending time with other children playing games and having fun. After the game, over $100 were donated to the hospital.
The Blue Raiders defeated the Volunteers 5-1 on Saturday night to complete the sweep. Fink had a hat trick while Wilson and Kristinus each tallied one. Hilton in goal posted a 97.1 save percentage in his first win of the season.
The Blue Raiders defeated the Volunteers 9-0 in the first game of two on Friday night. Brendan Mithcell led the way with 4 goals while Nick Kristinus helped with 3 assists. Josh Friedenberger stayed solid in goal posting a shutout.
The Blue Raiders of the past and present teamed up for a fun game to end the year! The Raiders are off for a few weeks and look forward to the Miami Showcase in January.

Despite the loss, there was a tremendous performance from the team. Blue Raiders #8 Brendan Mitchell and #91 Nick Kristinus were both one goal short from a hat trick. #44 Joe Puglise contributed several shot attempts and even glazed the net by a few inches in the first. Goalie #82 Josh Friedenberger continued to show his outstanding performance as a goalie, blocking multiple shots and back-to-back saves. The team tied it up going into overtime. With 1:50 left on the clock, RMU scored taking the win.
